Senator Monday Okpebholo, a candidate for the All Progressives Congress (APC), will win the September 21 governorship election, according to Senator Adams Oshiomhole of Edo North.
In order to guarantee that the APC won the gubernatorial election, Oshiomhole declared he was prepared to assume the role of sweeper.
Over the weekend, he gave a speech to kick off the party’s election campaign council.

In order to help the APC win the governorship race, the former governor urged those who were affected by flooding and whose children were attending schools with bare floors.
According to Oshiomhole: “If it requires me to take the role of a sweeper, I am ready to sweep Senator Monday Okpebholo into office as governor.
“Every member and supporter of the APC is a member of our campaign for genuine change under the leadership of Senator Monday Okpebholo.
“Titles do not matter, every member is a canvasser, every member of our party must work hard to win their units and wards, local government and state.”
Senator Matthew Urhoghide, the Director General of the APC Campaign Council, also spoke and asked the party’s disgruntled members to get together and strive towards victory.

The electorate of Edo State will convene to choose the next governor of the state on September 21.
The candidates for the APC are Senator Monday Okpebholo of the APC, Asue Ighodalo of the PDP, and Olumide Akpata of the Labour Party.
