Skit creators who exploit the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission’s (EFCC) official accoutrements without authorisation are cautioned by the commission.
This happens in response to an older video called “EFCC and Army Wahala” that has been recirculating on social media.
On Monday, the anti-graft organisation released a statement on its official X feed, expressing serious concerns over the way their agents are portrayed in skits.

The statement reads in part, “This, once again, compels the EFCC to reiterate its warning to skit makers and other social workers to desist from using the operational accouterments of the commission illegally and irresponsibly.”
The film was referred to by the Commission as a “caricature” of its real manners.
The anti-graft agency also expressed disapproval at the portrayal of its agents as bullies, claiming that this is not accurate.
“Operatives of the EFCC are not bullies. They are trained as refined modern law enforcement officers rich in decency, civility, and respect for members of the public, including suspects of economic and financial crimes,” the statement added.
