Rio Ferdinand, a former defender for Manchester United, responded to the Premier League team’s decision to sever Sir Alex Ferguson’s ambassadorship.
Ferdinand stated in a tweet on Tuesday that “no one is safe” at Old Trafford.
He wrote: “If Sir Alex can be taken out, then NO ONE IS SAFE at @ManUtd – anyone can get it now. Ineos sending a message to ANYONE at the club?!?”

Upon the conclusion of the current season, Ferguson will relinquish his current position as ambassador.
