The AGF then utilised the same constitutional provision to halt the trial of the 150 defendants after the court granted the motion.
Justice Egwuatu granted the request and threw out the allegations without any opposition from the several solicitors defending the accused.
The judge ordered the accused to be immediately released from jail detention even though they were not present in court.
The AGF was instructed by President Bola Tinubu on Monday to drop the accusations against the defendants, the majority of them are allegedly children and hence not subject to such proceedings by law.
