Aisha Yesufu, a social critic, claims that former President Goodluck Jonathan gave Aliko Dangote and other wealthy people a lot of waivers during his administration.
Yesufu claimed that as a result of the action, small enterprises were destroyed.
Her remarks coincide with reports of a deteriorating relationship between Dangote and the country’s oil industry officials.

According to the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority, the Dangote refinery does not currently have a licence to operate in the nation, as reported by Anaedoonline.ng.
However, Yesufu said in a Monday post on her X handle that there was also a lot of money laundering through deceptive pricing that caused many businesses to fail.
She said: “We are eager to forget and romanticize the past. GEJ gave Dangote and co so much waivers and destroyed small businesses in the process. There was also a lot of money laundering through predatory pricing that took a lot of businesses down.”
