Senator Mas’ud El-Jibril Doguwa, a well-known politician in Kano, has announced his resignation from the All Progressive Congress (APC), as have his allies, colleagues, and other political connections.
This announcement was made by the senator in a statement that was made public on Thursday night.
He stated, “My supporters, colleagues, and other political associates hereby resign our membership from the All Progressive Congress (APC) and all its committees at various levels, effective today, Thursday, July 11, 2024, at approximately 1700hrs .”
“This decision is consequent upon series of wide-range consultations with our people who believe that APC, at all levels, does not take advantage of our long-standing experience in politics and governance.
“As members of the APC, we feel we are being grossly underutilized, as we are rarely involved in any forum to discuss and share our experiences for the development of the party, the state or the nation.
After closely examining the actions of the APC regimes, Doguwa claimed to have found that many of the party’s policies are “anti-people oriented, which do not align with our political ideology.” They give priority to policies that are detrimental to the general populace of this nation rather than beneficial.
He said that no one or any group of people was the target of bias or malice in the decision-making process.
