Hulaira Hussaini Ardo, the senior wife of Fulani Chief Malam Husaaini Ardo, was shot dead by bandits in Kaduna State after they collected a N2 million ransom from the family.
Ardo’s four wives were kidnapped by bandits after they invaded his home on February 11, 2023.

Following that, the ransom (money and food) demanded for the release of the four wives was delivered to the bandit leader in a forest between Kagarko and Kachia LG.
When the bandits received the ransom, the leader fatally shot the senior wife and released the remaining three.
The bandits also refused to release the corpse of the senior wife, family members revealed,
