Bola Tinubu and Kashim Shettima should receive new jets right away, according to a request made to the federal government by the House of Representatives Committee on National Security and Intelligence.
Following a hearing by its technical subcommittee on the condition and airworthiness of aircraft in the Presidential Air Fleet (PAF), the Committee produced a report in which it made this recommendation.
In a report that was given to the PAF, it was said that the two absolutely needed to buy a private jet to avoid any unforeseen accidents or technical problems.

The report partly reads, “The Committee is of the strong and informed opinion that considering the fragile structure of the Nigerian federation and recognising the dire consequences of any foreseen or unforeseen mishap that may arise as a result of technical/operational inadequacy of the Presidential Air Fleet, it is in the best interest of the country to procure two additional aircraft as recommended.
“This will also prove to be most cost-efficient in the long run apart from the added advantage of providing a suitable, comfortable and safe carrier befitting of the status and responsibilities of the office of the leader and assistant leader of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.”
Meanwhile, a few politicians disclosed that the document has reportedly been sent to the president for further action.
