A significant outage in Microsoft’s network has caused disruptions to business operations worldwide.
Microsoft verified this development by stating on its status page that a bug in its system had impacted operations worldwide in a number of sectors.
The announcement states that the business is addressing an issue that has resulted in a bug check (BSOD) and left certain systems locked in a restarting loop that affects Windows virtual machines and the CrowdStrike Falcon agent.
The statement reads, “We’ve been made aware of an issue impacting Virtual Machines running Windows, running the CrowdStrike Falcon agent, which may encounter a bug check (BSOD) and get stuck in a restarting state,” the statement said.

“We’re aware of this issue and are currently investigating potential options Azure customers can take for mitigation.”
Nonetheless, the disruption has resulted in extensive consequences, including global aviation, financial markets, and public healthcare systems throughout Europe.
As footage of tourists stuck at airports filled the internet, major European cities’ airports, including Amsterdam, Berlin, London, and Paris, reported considerable delays.
