In a recent development, the Anambra State Association of Town Unions (ASATU) Youth Wing has announced the appointment of Comrade Ejim Ucheagwu as the new Chief Protocol Officer and Deputy Chief of Staff to the ASATU Youth President. The announcement was made by the Secretary General of the ASATU Youth Wing, Orstager Chinweuba, during a press briefing in Awka on Monday.
According to Chinweuba, Comrade Ucheagwu was selected based on his exemplary leadership skills, dedication to youth empowerment, and active participation in community development initiatives. “We are confident that Comrade Ucheagwu’s experience and commitment will greatly enhance the operations and effectiveness of the ASATU Youth Wing,” Chinweuba said.

In his new role, Comrade Ucheagwu will be responsible for coordinating protocol duties for the Youth President, ensuring smooth communication between the leadership and various town unions, and supporting strategic initiatives aimed at fostering youth development in Anambra State. He will also assist the President in overseeing the administration and execution of key projects across the state.
Terms of Reference:
1. To handle all protocal matters of the Office of the PG Asatu Youth.
2. To coordinate all Associate and Affiliate Members of the association and report to the PG.
3. To assist the PG in coordinating all special programmes and projects assigned to him by the PG.
4. To carry out any other task given to him by the PG of Asatu Youth.
Reacting to his appointment, Ucheagwu expressed gratitude to the ASATU Youth leadership for the trust placed in him. He pledged to work diligently in his new capacity to ensure the youth voice in Anambra is strengthened and well-represented.
The ASATU Youth Wing plays a crucial role in advocating for the interests of young people across the state and fostering unity among the various town unions. With this new appointment, the association aims to further its mission of empowering youths and promoting grassroots development.
