President Bola Tinubu was praised by the Northern Senators’ Forum on Tuesday for exercising leadership by directing the release of children who had been detained and incarcerated during the #EndBadGovernance demonstrations.
This was said in a statement issued in Abuja by Sen. Abdulaziz Yar’adua, the forum’s chairman.
He claimed that the President’s choice showed his dedication to defending the welfare and rights of young Nigerians.

“It is a positive development that he instructed Lateef Fagbemi, the Attorney-General of the Federation, to speed up the release process.”
The President’s leadership in tackling this important issue was valued by the forum.
Additionally, it praised the diligent efforts of Northern leaders who have been working to achieve these youngsters’ release.
“Their dedication and advocacy have been instrumental to bringing the matter to the forefront, and we are grateful for their commitment to the welfare of our young people.
“As we move forward, I urge leaders in the North to prioritise the safety and education of our children.
