Over the weekend, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, the National Leader of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), received a special prayer session from Islamic scholars.
Anaedoonline.ng learns that over 1,000 Islamic clerics gathered to give special prayers for the two political bigwigs to bring peace, progress, and political stability to the country.
Reports say the Ulamas were welcomed by Rep. Abdulmumin Kofa (NNPP-Kiru/Bebeji) in Kiru, where they recited the holy Qur’an 1,101 times during the prayer session.

In his brief remarks, Kofa indicated that his relationship with Tinubu is no secret and that Kwankwaso is his mentor. He promised to keep encouraging and supporting the two presidents’ cordial relationship. In a statement, Malam Sani Paki, Kofa’s media assistant, on Monday in Kano contained this information.
As long as it serves the interests of the Nigerian people, Kofa voiced his view that the NNPP has the potential to be a promising party and stressed the party’s desire to work with, establish alliances with, and combine with other political parties, including the APC, PDP, LP, and any other party that shows interest.
In addition, he committed to using his scant political connections to interact with powerful Kano politicians in an effort to settle disputes and ease the tension that currently surrounds the Kano governorship.
After the prayer session, the congressman showed hospitality to five thousand elementary school students from his district, something he did often, and gave them school supplies.

The statement claims that Kofa informed the students of the positive plans of the federal and state governments, especially on free education and school feeding programmes.
