The North Central All Progressive Congress (APC) Forum has issued a warning to organisations preparing anti-government protests around the country, advising them to reconsider and backtrack. The group claims that such acts will be counterproductive to the nation’s advancement during this crucial time.
The forum said Bola Tinubu is trying his hardest to turn the nation around and lead it to glory, but he needs help, not protests to divert his attention.
Saleh Mandung Zazzaga, the chairman of the forum, made these remarks on Monday during a conversation with media in Jos, the capital of Plateau State. He expressed the forum’s opposition to all forms of protest.

In Zazzaga’s opinion, individuals who are advocating for protests are driven more by self-interest and the desire for quick political points. He claimed that many of these individuals are sponsored by forces opposed to the government and the nation.
In addition, he forewarned demonstrators against planning any demonstrations in the North Central region, noting the region’s ongoing security issues. He mentioned that security personnel are helping President Tinubu deal with these problems.
He did, however, issue a warning that any protest in the area may be taken over by criminals, causing chaos and endangering the lives and property of law-abiding residents.
Citing the region’s persistent problems with kidnappings, banditry, and other violent episodes, Zazzaga emphasised that the area cannot afford more unrest.

Furthermore, he drew attention to the fact that protests in some areas of the North and the region frequently take on an ethno-religious character, leading to conflicts and fatalities between Christians and Muslims.
