Sunday Igboho: Facebook Removes Fani-Kayode's Essay On Activist
SHARE

Former minister of aviation Femi Fani-Kayode has expressed displeasure after Facebook removed his essay titled ‘Sunday Igboho & the Threat of War’ posted over the weekend.

Mr Fani-Kayode had in his essay criticised the Buhari administration over its handling of the crisis between herdsmen and the Yoruba people.

He also criticised moves to arrest an activist Sunday Adeyemo aka Sunday Igboho who tried to force herders accused of criminal activities out of Igangan, a town in Oyo State.

In a tweet on Monday, the ex-minister attacked Facebook, saying censorship was evil.

“My essay titled “Sunday Igboho & The Threat Of War” was removed from Facebook after reaching 1 million people in a day! Why does Facebook not want the world to know the truth? Censorship is evil. The essay can still be read on @realFFK & on my website,” he said.

Part of the essay reads: “Peace-loving and law-abiding Fulanis are welcome in the South West but those that kill, steal, rape and destroy must leave and they must be brought to justice by the authorities. If this does not happen expect many more Sunday Igbohos to rise up.

“The worst culprits in all this are the Buhari administration who are complicit in these crimes and in this ethnic cleansing, mass murder and genocide. I say they are complicit because they have refused to disarm the perpetrators, arrest them or bring them to justice despite the fact that it is their constitutional duty to do so.”
