Adamu Garba, a senior member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has urged Atiku Abubakar, the PDP’s presidential contender for 2023, to refrain from holding a public opinion trial about President Bola Tinubu’s academic background.
Garba charged Atiku with inventing a procedure that violates Nigerian law.
The APC leader said in a post on X that data showed Tinubu attended Chicago State University, or CSU.
This is occurring in the wake of Atiku’s visit to CSU to confront Tinubu.
Atiku Holds World Press Conference Ocver Tinubu’s Certificate Controversy
Despite numerous inconsistencies in his certificates, Tinubu’s attendance at the institution had been validated by CSU.
Reacting to the saga, Garba wrote: “President Tinubu did attend the CSU, passed with distinction, and was confirmed by the CSU themselves. I don’t understand what the opposition truly wants by creating their own process, which directly went against the law.
“Tinubu is the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
“If you disagree, go through the normal procedure, not to create a court of public opinion. Follow the rules of Electoral Act 2022 as amended.”
