Gunmen believed to be bandits broke into the residence of Adamu Muazu, the former governor of Bauchi State.
According to Anaedoonline.ng, Muazu served as the governor of Bauchi for two terms before rising to the position of national chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
It was discovered that Danladi Mu’azu was killed when the gunmen broke into Muazu’s rural home in the state’s Tafawa Balewa Local Government Area.

Multiple accounts claim that during the Wednesday raid, the bandits killed the former governor’s nephew and kidnapped the other three.
The three people taken hostage by the gunmen are Hajiya Asma’u Adamu, Malama Halima Abdullahi, and a woman by the name of Nura in addition to Mu’azu’s sister.
Hashimu Abubakar, a resident of Boto, told the newspaper that the gunmen had not gotten in touch with the family to discuss a ransom for the release of the kidnapped individuals.
He further mentioned that the kidnappers had turned off all three of the victims’ phones.
The Bauchi State Police Command responded to the event by stating that efforts are being made to free the victims of the kidnapping and hold those responsible accountable.
