Burna Boy, Wizkid, and Davido, three superstars from Nigeria, won honors on Sunday night at the renowned All Africa Music Awards in Dakar, Senegal.
Burna Boy, who has received a Grammy, won the Best Act in Africa prize at the eighth iteration of the competition.
In addition, he won the Best Album of the Year title, defeating artists like Didi B from Cote d’Ivoire and Kabza De Small from South Africa.

Didi B, an Ivorian artist, won the Song of the Year Award, nevertheless.
Davido won the Best Male Act in African Inspirational Music Award, while Wizkid won Best Act in West Africa.
Adekunle Gold won two prizes for his collaboration with Davido on the song “High”: Best Act, Duo or Group in African Pop and Best Act Group in African Contemporary Music.
Manamba Kanye, a singer from Guinea, was named Best Female Act in West Africa.
The awards ceremony, which was held in the 15,000-seat Dakar Arena in Diamniadio, Senegal, put an end to the four-day celebration of the best in African music.
