Anambra State citizens resumed their regular activities on Friday, reopening stores and other places of business, following the shutdown of enterprises on Thursday, the first day of the #EndBadGovernance protest.
This occurs concurrently with the state police praising the locals for abstaining from the protest.
On Friday, public spaces such as stores and marketplaces were open, in contrast to the previous day when businesses were shuttered and the streets were empty, as reported by reporters covering the demonstration in Anambra on Day Two.
A trader, Mrs Onyekachi Ogini said: “We cannot join the protest. They are the people who voted for Tinubu, so they should enjoy the government of the man they voted. We cannot join them.”
