The management of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University, Anambra State has denied the accusation that the University produces half-baked graduates who end up as Yahoo Yahoo.
Reacting to the media report, the Public Relations Officer of the University, Dr. Harrison Madubueze, noted that the university have over the years produced graduates well equipped to measure up with the contemporary society as problem solvers, maintaining that the National University Commission (NUC) accredited all the courses being taught in the University.
He frowned at the unprofessional manner in which some media organizations report the university’s affairs, threatening to take legal action against media organizations who are paid to tarnish the image of the university.

On allegation that the management of the University has hands in the crises brewing among the Chapter members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), Mr. Harrison stated that the university management is focused on the administration and the provision of the overall welfare of the staff and students of the University, and has no time meddling in Union affairs.
He claimed that at no point did the “management threaten to cow Union members into submission over their insistence on the one-month nationwide warning strike” as reported in the Guardian Newspaper by Prof. Okey Aniebo.
Dr. Harrison maintained that a level playing ground has since been provided to all the Unionists in the University under the Administration of the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Greg. Nwakoby, which is why the Unions in the University have been enjoying the environmentally friendly atmosphere to have their meetings.
