Peter Obi, the former governor of Anambra State and a leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has voiced trust in Governor Charles Soludo’s ability.
According to Anaedoonline.ng, Soludo was sworn in as the sixth democratic governor of Anambra State on Thursday.
Mr. Obi expressed confidence in Governor Soludo’s ability to bring his expertise and experience as an economist to bear on the state’s economy and effect good change in an interview with media following the swearing-in event.

Obi also pledged to do his part in ensuring the state’s continued growth, stating that based on the substance and pledges of the incoming governor’s inauguration speech, he believes the new governor has big ambitions for Anambra.
“Anambra will see economic growth and faster development,” he said, citing Soludo’s credentials as a prominent economist who has advised financial institutions in Africa and beyond.
“I am often in places where people are talking about how to build Anambra or Nigeria. I am delighted to help Anambra State become the nation’s light.”
Obi thinks Soludo would alter the state and influence the poor by pulling them out of poverty, based on his takeaway from the Governor’s address.
“He is dedicated to keeping our children in school, guaranteeing security, and helping the underprivileged.”
Obi stated, “He would build on everything he has on his program to lift people out of poverty.”
Governor Soludo Makes First Appointments To New Regime
According to Anaedoonline.ng, Obi would visit the government house for the first time since leaving office eight years ago on Thursday.
Anambra State Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo, on the other hand, has named Professor Osita Chukwulobelu as the new Secretary to the State Government (SSG).
This comes just six hours after his inauguration on Thursday, according to Anaedoonline.ng.
Joe Anatune, a representative for Soludo, announced the new appointments.

Professor Osita Chukwulobelu has been appointed as Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Dr Chukwudi Okoli has been appointed as Accountant General, and Chinedu Nwoye has been appointed as Deputy Chief of Staff/State Chief of Protocol.
