Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, a former vice president of Nigeria, has withdrawn from today’s national caucus meeting of the party in power, the All Progressives Congress (APC).
This information was released in a statement on Wednesday by Laolu Akande, his media assistant.
As previously reported by Anaedoonline.ng, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will host a number of APC luminaries at the party’s National Caucus meeting, including former President Muhammadu Buhari, former Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Senate President Senator Godswill Akpabio, Speaker of the House of Representatives Tajudeen Abbas, and other important figures from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

It was learned that the APC caucus meeting will take place at 6 o’clock in the Presidential Villa’s New Banquet Hall.
Vice President Kashim Shettima, APC governors, former Senate President Ahmad Lawan, former House of Representatives Speaker Femi Gbajabiamila, and members of the National Working Committee are all anticipated to attend.
Osinbajo, however, apologized for missing the party’s caucus meeting in a letter to the interim national chairman of the APC. He stated that he was already abroad for another engagement.
He continued by saying that he had skipped a few prior appointments in order to attend the APC meetings, which were regrettably postponed.
However, the former vice president reaffirmed his allegiance and dedication to the party and wished the members successful discussions.

“In a letter of apology for his absence addressed to the Ag. Chairman of the party the former VP explained that he was already abroad for engagements to which he had long been committed, when he received the invitation to the meeting.
“He had in fact cancelled some of his engagements abroad to be available for the two previously scheduled caucus meetings of the party which had to be postponed due to exigencies.
“While wishing the party fruitful deliberations, he expressed his commitment to the Party and his availability for future meetings and activities of the party.”
