Ifeanyi Ubah, senator for Anambra South, met with All Progressives Congress National Chairman Abdullahi Ganduje on Thursday at the party’s national headquarters in Abuja.
According to Anaedoonline.ng, Ifeanyi Ubah defected from the Young Progressives Party (YPP) to the APC on Thursday due to irreconcilable divisions inside the party.
The defection letter went on to say that Ubah’s choice is in the best interests of his constituency.

The Anambra politician came at the party secretariat around 4.15 p.m., accompanied by Senate President Godswill Akpabio, who was dressed in a flowing Babaringa and a traditional red helmet.
On Thursday, the news of Ubah’s defection was read aloud in the Senate Chamber.
Ubah, who was elected on the YPP platform for another four years in the previous elections, claimed that he shifted allegiance to the ruling APC due to irreconcilable differences inside his former party.
