The Department of State Services (DSS) has revealed its collaboration with the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) in the arrest of Prof. Cyril Ndifon. This arrest comes in the wake of allegations of sexual harassment made against him by law students at the University of Calabar(UNICAL).
Prof. Cyril Ndifon had reportedly ignored several invitations extended to him prior to his arrest. Contrary to earlier reports suggesting that he was abducted by gunmen, the DSS statement clarified that the ICPC arrested him on October 4th, following a court order.

The Director of Public Relations and Strategic Communications at the DSS National Headquarters, Peter Afunanya, confirmed that Ndifon’s arrest was carried out with the support of the DSS.
The collaboration between the ICPC and the DSS underscores the seriousness with which allegations of sexual harassment are being addressed within the academic community and highlights the commitment to ensuring that justice prevails in such cases.
