Governor Okowa Alerts Christians, Says Aso Rock Chapel Risks Closure
According to media reports, the Independent National Electoral Commission proclaimed Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress the victor of the presidential election held on Saturday.
Tinubu, a Muslim from the South West, ran the race alongside Kashim Shettima, a Muslim from Nigeria’s Northern area.
On Saturday, Okowa instilled dread by declaring that a Muslim-Muslim president was not God’s plan for Nigeria.
“It is not the will of God that the Chapel in Aso Rock will be closed for four years as a result of the Muslim-Muslim ticket of the APC,” Okowa had said.
However, Fani- Kayode quickly responded on Twitter, assuring the public that the chapel will not be closed because the President-wife, elect’s Oluremi Tinubu, is a pastor.
