BBNaija: There’ll Be No ‘All Stars Reunion’ – Mercy Eke

There won’t be a “All Stars reunion,” according to Big Brother Naija reality star Mercy Eke.

Mercy advised her followers not to hold their breath for a reunion with Ilebaye, the winner of the 120 million Naira big prize, from the previous season of the reality show.

She encouraged her followers who were hoping for a reunion to give up on their dreams, but she wouldn’t say why.

During her Instagram live, she stated, “Stop dreaming, there will be no ‘All Stars reunion.'”

This will be the first time the reality show’s organisers have failed to plan a reunion following an edition that had a variety of reality stars in the house.

Concurrently, Multichoice released a notice regarding the ninth season’s auditions.

The audition was held on March 27, 2024, a Wednesday at 8:00 pm with a new twist.

Chizzy Francis, a former Big Brother Naija, BBNaija season 7 housemate, has requested for the reality show’s ongoing reunion to be postponed.

According to newsmen, scandals have followed the BBNaija Season 7 reunion program, with the housemates continually criticising themselves.

The famed “Edo sisters” Phyna and Chichi are at the center of the latest scandal.

Phyna referred to Chichi as a deadbeat mother who abandoned her two children in Benin City and a fugitive wife on Day 4 of the reunion show, which aired Thursday night.

Chizzy bemoaned the toxic character of the reunion event on Twitter on Friday morning, pleading with the host, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, to talk to the organizers about postponing the show.

He claims that the reunion is affecting his mental health.

He wrote, “Please @Ebuka can you tell biggie to postpone this reunion cos of my mental health.”

The winner of the Lockdown edition of the Big Brother Naija reality show, Laycon on Monday night said there is still chances of mending his relationship with Erica.

Laycon while speaking during the reunion show hosted by Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, said he felt what happened in the house between him and Erica could have been avoided and can still be mended.

The reality show star who is also a singer said he would rather have his supporters focus on his music career and growth than see them argue about what happened in the house.

“I feel like the situation between me and Erica could have been avoided but can still be mended.

“However, right now I’m focusing on my music and I will rather have everyone that supports me and cares for me argue about how to push my music career forward than argue about what happened in the house.

“I feel like it won’t be nice after everything I went through getting to where I’m today, I will now be dragging this same set of people that are more interested in my music career backwards.

“This is why I haven’t had time to think about anything else,” he said.
