One year is insufficient to appraise Bola Tinubu’s government, according to Right Reverend Matthew Kukah, the founder of the Kukah Centre and Bishop of the Sokoto Catholic Diocese.
Bishop Kukah made this statement in an interview with State House Correspondents soon after he and Bola Tinubu met at the Presidential Villa in Abuja to talk about an impending national cohesion-focused event that the Kukah Centre was organising.
He stated that although the administration is offering answers to the plethora of problems, Nigerians must be given an idea of when they can finally exhale with relief.

In his words, ““I’m sure that many people will tell you that one year is not enough to make a judgement. However, from where we all stand, we know that we are all in a very difficult situation.
“Nigerians are in various levels of pain and they are pains that are unintended. But, they are as a result of certain policy decisions that hopefully, with time, can be amended in order to serve the welfare of ordinary people,” Bishop Kukah explained.
He did, however, add that Nigerians need to know when the administration plans to address the nation’s current socioeconomic problems.
