Tochukwu Gbubemi Ojogwu, also known as Odumodublvck, a prominent Nigerian rapper and hip-hop artist based in Abuja, reportedly turned down an invitation to play at Bola Tinubu’s inauguration.

The self-described roadman said this on Thursday, May 25, 2023, ahead of the inauguration, according to Newsmen.

Before the inauguration on May 29th, President Muhammadu Buhari handed over transitional documents to Tinubu today (Thursday).

Before President-elect Bola Tinubu’s inauguration on May 29, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) in Abuja has beefed up its security measures.

News reporters learned from The Nations that in addition to the physical training of staff, intelligence collection is done in advance of the program, according to security sources.

According to the source, while police officers and military personnel are still undergoing training, special police officers have been sent in to ensure a smooth handover.

As you may remember, the Presidential Transition Council released an inauguration schedule on Thursday.

“Whether anybody likes it, it must take place, a new government is coming on 29 May, so what can we do besides prayers because we believe in Almighty, we believe in God that gives and takes.

“After that so what? What do we do to help the government stabilize and move the country forward?”

Despite the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, announcing that Bola Tinubu of the ruling All Progressives Congress won the presidential election on February 25, the head of the foremost Yoruba socio-cultural organization, Afenifere, Ayo Adebanjo, claims that Nigeria does not currently have a president-elect.

Pa Adebanjo claimed in a recent interview with Arise TV that the government the nation currently has is “a sham that will be pulled in due course.”

He claimed that INEC abandoned the constitutional process and that Nigerians must be told why.

He said, “It is just the result of a bad government. A disaster that God will help us to get rid of. I can assure you there is no President-elect at all; it is just a sham that should be pulled in due course.

The 95-year-old claimed that Tinubu’s camp picked up the messengers and left the messages, which is the primary problem, in an effort to address the groundswell of objections that tested his contentious declaration as the winner of the presidential election.

Festus Keyamo (SAN), Minister of State for Labour and Employment, has lambasted those who argue that Nigeria’s President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, should not be sworn in to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari on May 29th.

In a statement issued on Saturday, Keyamo, the President-Director Elect’s of Public Affairs, emphasized that the All Progressives Congress (APCsilence )’s should not be misconstrued as cowardice.

According to the Minister, Tinubu and Senator Kashim Shettima are legally entitled to be inaugurated into office after being declared winners of the February 25th presidential election.

Keyamo observed that people opposing the presidential election results want to be in the courts and on the streets at the same time.

Some have made treasonable insinuations and openly called for military take-over. It is for these reasons that they are desperate to incite the people against the incoming Government.

“It is perplexing to see that those contesting the results want to be in the courts and on the streets at the same time. However, if their intention is to truncate the inauguration of the President-elect and Vice-President elect, they should immediately bury the thought. It is gratifying to note that the President has set in motion steps for the actualisation of the swearing-in ceremonies. In this regard, the Presidential Transition Council has remained focused and committed to its Terms of Reference in respect of organizing a hitch-free handover.

“On many occasions after the declaration of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the winner of the election, his public speeches and utterances have centered on reconciliation, forgiveness and greater vision for Nigeria. He has pledged fairness as the basis for his present and future engagements. He has unequivocally stated that he would not accord favour to those that supported him, neither would he mistreat those who did not vote for him. This is statesmanly and patrotic. We all watched the President-elect as Governor of Lagos for eight (8) years. He never undermined any person or tribe. He championed people-oriented policies. It is common knowledge that he is a welfarist and a pacifist. This is even more so that millions of citizens have spoken through the ballot box in his favour.
