On Thursday, pandemonium erupted at the Rumuwoji Playground in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital, following a double explosion that rocked the All Progressives Congress, APC, campaign gathering.

According to reports, at least three people were gravely injured in the sad occurrence.

According to accounts, two of the victims are women, and all of them were taken to a hospital for treatment.

Darlington Nwauju, the APC Publicity Secretary in the state, verified the event to Daily Trust.

Grace Iringe Koko, the State Police Public Relations Officer, merely stated, “I will get back to you,” when reached by Newsmen.

50 Shiite Members Killed In A Bomb Blast During Friday Prayers (Photos)

No fewer than fifty members of the Shiite group have been reportedly killed in a bomb blast that happened on Friday (today).

Reports revealed that the Muslim worshippers were observing their Jumma’at prayers when the bomb exploded.

No group is yet to claim responsibility for the attack, but the Islamic State group, Arch-rival of the Taliban, has claimed similar recent atrocities, it was observed.

A yet to be confirmed number of persons were said to have sustained degrees of injuries in the blast which occurred at the Shiite mosque in the Afghan city of Kunduz.

The incident is observed to be the bloodiest assault in the region since United States forces left the country. There are submissions that the attack could be a design to further destabilize Afghanistan in the wake of the Taliban takeover.

A medical source at the Kunduz Provincial Hospital who reportedly gave an insight into the incident said that 35 dead and more than 50 wounded had been taken there, while a worker at a Doctors Without Borders hospital reported 15 dead and scores more wounded.

Meanwhile, Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid had earlier said an unknown number of people had been killed and injured when “an explosion took place in a mosque of our Shiite compatriots” in Kunduz.

AFP reports that residents of Kunduz, the capital of a province of the state, bitterly lamented the incident which happened in the most important of the week for Muslims.

Zalmai Alokzai, a local businessman who rushed to Kunduz Provincial Hospital to check whether doctors needed blood donations, described horrific scenes. He said: “Ambulances were going back to the incident scene to carry the dead.”

“Hundreds of people are gathered at the main gate of the hospital and crying for their relatives but armed Taliban guys are trying to prevent gatherings in case another explosion is planned,” said an international aid worker at the MSF hospital who expressed worries over the death toll rise.

Former Maldives President and current Parliament Speaker, Mohamed Nasheed, has been hospitalized after a bomb explosion outside his family home on Thursday.

According to Aljazeera, a police statement revealed that Nasheed sustained injuries and is currently receiving treatment at ADK Hospital following the explosion.

The Police, however, failed to give details of the injuries suffered by Nasheed but revealed that at least one of his bodyguards was also taken to hospital.

“Following a Bomb explosion, Speaker of Parliament President Mohamed Nasheed has sustained injuries and is currently receiving treatment at ADK Hospital. The bomb explosion went off on Thursday as he was getting into his car in the capital Male.

“Investigations are underway to find the culprits behind the attack,” the statement said.

Also, the country’s Foreign Minister, Abdulla Shahid in a statement via his Twitter account strongly, condemned the attack.

“Cowardly attacks like these have no place in our society.

The Supreme Leader of the INRI Evangelical spiritual church, Primate Elijah Ayodele has warned the President of Cameroun, Paul Biya against dullness in his government as he foresees his government being hijacked.

Primate Ayodele during a live service in his Lagos church on Sunday said he foresees a serious crisis in Cameroon which will lead to unexpected killings in the country.

He warned Paul Biya to pray against death as he foresees his health failing.

“Cameroun will have a crisis, there will be a big problem between the English speaking and French-speaking part of the country.

“The country will have political problems, and unexpected killings will occur in the country, the president, Paul Biya will have issues and if he is not careful, He will have problems and his government will be hijacked.

“He should pray for his health, He needs to wake up or else, it will be worse both economically and politically’’

The primate predicted that the President of Uganda will continue to have issues with his opposition and there will be efforts to make him irrelevant politically.

Prophet Ayodele also claimed to foresees another coup threat in Africa.

“Ugandan president will keep facing opposition challenges, efforts will be made to destroy his political relevance, let us pray against a major disorderliness in the country that looks like a protest. I foresee another coup threat in Africa’’ he said.

Prophet Ayodele also revealed that some states in Nigeria need to pray against bomb scare which will threaten the security of the country like never before.

“In Nigeria, I see a major bomb scare that will threaten the security of our country than ever before.

“We need serious prayers, our security agencies must fight the issue of Boko Haram. These states should pray against Bomb scare; Abuja, Lagos, Portharcourt and Oyo state.’’

Bomb Blast In Imo, Kills 3

Police authority in Imo on Thursday confirmed that a bomb exploded in the state killing three persons.

Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in IMO, Orlando Ikeokwu, said the explosion occurred in Eziorsu community in Oguta local government area.

Ikeokwu gave the names of the victims as Elvis Ukado; Kasiemobi Uzoma and Justice Adie.

The police image maker said: “It was an unexploded ordinance in a scrap dump.

“The bomb exploded killing three of them at the scene while one of the victims was beating the scrap iron in order to compress it.”

Orlando also confirmed that the Imo State Commissioner of Police, Rabiu Ladodo, and his team had visited the bomb explosion scene at Oguta.

He added: “The Commissioner of Police wishes to use this medium to warn all members of the public to promptly report any metal device suspected to be Unexploded Ordnance or Explosive (UXO), for possible examination, evacuation, and possible destruction.”

An eyewitness from the community, who also confirmed the development said that the explosion affected people around the scene due to the violent wave and effect of the sound.
