Real Madrid manager, Zinedine Zidane and striker, Karim Benzema, have reacted to their side’s Champions League 2-0 victory against Borussia Mönchengladbach on Wednesday night.
Zidane described Real Madrid’s win over Mönchengladbach as the Los Blancos’s most complete game of the season, while Benzema said it was a difficult game.
Real Madrid defeated the Bundesliga side at Estadio Alfredo Di Stefano, thanks to two first half goals from Benzema.
“This was the objective: to finish first,” Zidane said as quoted by Marca after the game. We played a spectacular game, from the first minute to the last. We interpreted the game really well.
“I think this was the most complete game of the season. I have been a player, and it’s impossible to play like this all the time.
“I’m happy for the players because they are the most important thing. I’m fighting with them, and I’m happy for them. It was a good game.”

On his part, Benzema said, “It was a difficult game. “We started well. We were eager to win and to show we are the best and that we were going to work together to win this game.
“When we give everything on the pitch, we get goals, and we could have got more. If we always play like today.”
Real Madrid’s next game is on Saturday against Atletico Madrid in the La Liga.
