Nkubi recounted the two-hour conversation he had with Ejeagha, which was instrumental for his final-year project focused on Folklore. He chose the “Gwo Gwo Gwo Ngwo” hitmaker as his case study, believing Ejeagha’s work to be a perfect fit for his research topic.

Legendary folklore musician, Gentleman Mike Ejeagha, is experiencing a rise in popularity with his song “Ka Esi Le Onye Isi Oche” gaining massive recognition 41 years after its original release. The song, which tells a folklore about the cunningness of the Tortoise and the strength of the Elephant, went viral when comedian Brain Jotter recently used it in one of his videos. This video has since amassed 29.1 million views and over 30,000 comments on Instagram, along with 19.6 million views and over 23,000 comments on TikTok.

Ejeagha, now 91, was relatively unknown to many in the new generation until this recent spotlight. He is renowned for his rich narratives that vividly capture Igbo folklore and traditions. Ejeagha first rose to fame post-Civil War with the release of the album “Omekagu” through Polygram Records and later Phillips Records. Over his career, he has released 33 albums, featuring numerous classic tracks.

Well-known skit creator Chukwuebuka Emmanuel Amuzie, also known as Brain Jotter, has disclosed that he began creating skits as Madam Ogadi, a crossdresser, but subsequently changed characters.

He clarified that he stopped crossdressing because, “unless you are doing it exceptionally well, it is not sustainable.”

The creator of the sketch was recently featured on Channels TV’s Rubbin’ Minds, which is presented by Ebuka Obi-Uchendu.

Brain Jotter said, “I have a friend who is advising me to start making content as a crossdresser. I’m not interested because I’ve tried it before.

“There was a time I was creating content with the character Madam Ogadi in a church and the audience were applauding my performances. So it got to my head and it was almost a niche for me. But then I realised that cross-dressing is not sustainable for me. I just don’t buy the idea because it won’t last. People might enjoy it once or twice, but you’re not a woman. Except you are doing it exceptionally well.

“You can’t be wearing a woman’s clothes with beards.”

He revealed that he was entering the Nollywood scene and dropped hints that a few of his films would be out this year.

He claimed to have performed music before.

Kafayat Adeleke, mother of Sultan Adeleke, also known as Eniola, a street hawker with a deformity, has shed light on the reasons behind her child’s decision to transform into a lady. Eniola’s story gained attention after a chance encounter with skit maker and comedian, Chukwuebuka Emmanuel, popularly known as Brain Jotter, who generously supported the young hawker.

In an interview with social media enthusiast Mr. LilGaga, Adeleke explained that her child’s deformity was present from birth and has been a source of surprise to those who encountered him. Eniola, who claims to be a makeup artist in addition to selling bottled water on Lagos highways, was recently gifted N400,000 by Brain Jotter, who praised her determination to succeed despite physical challenges.

The viral video caught the attention of singer Davido, who urged Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke to assist Eniola since she hails from Osun. However, controversy ensued as some netizens claimed that Eniola was a boy disguised as a girl to elicit public sympathy.

Adeleke clarified that her child had been disguised as a girl in Osogbo since 2018. She revealed that in 2020, Eniola went to Lagos seeking help while presenting as a girl, a tactic to gain public support. Addressing claims that she intended to use her son for ritual purposes, Adeleke vehemently denied the allegations, inviting verification from those willing to visit Osogbo.
