President Muhammadu Buhari has confirmed Brig. Gen. Y. D. Ahmed’s appointment as Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC).
According to news reports, the Army General will take over the NYSC on Monday from Christy Uba, who has been in charge for nearly three months.
Following the dismissal of Brig. Gen. Mohammed Fadah for alleged ineptitude and poor performance, Buhari chose Christy Uba, the first woman to be assigned to NYSC since its inception approximately 50 years ago.
