After six hours of questioning, Nigeria’s former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, was reportedly freed by the Department of State Services (DSS).
According to news sources, the All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain was summoned for questioning on Monday morning after alleging that certain politicians are conspiring with the military high command in preparation for a possible coup.
Fani-Kayode claimed that Atiku Abubakar, the PDP presidential candidate, was secretly meeting with Army Generals to disrupt the upcoming general elections.
On Monday morning, the APC chairman turned to Twitter to claim he is not afraid of the DSS invitation because he has nothing to hide.

Bayo Onanuga, the Director, Media and Publicity of the APC Tinubu/Shettima Campaign, announced through Twitter that Fani Kayode had been released hours after his presence in the secret police headquarters.
“Femi Fani-Kayode released by DSS after about six hours of interrogation,” Onanuga wrote on his Twitter page.
According to media sources, this is not the first time the former Aviation Minister has been summoned by the DSS.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) re-arrested Fani-Kayode in January 2022 on an updated 17-count money laundering accusation. Fani-Kayode was indicted alongside Nenandi Usman, a former Minister of State for Finance, before a Federal High Court in Lagos State.
