Rochas Okorocha, the controversial former governor of Imo State, has yet to comply with the Federal High Court in Abuja’s bail requirements.
Justice Inyang Ekwo had previously granted Senator representing Imo West Senatorial District bail in the sum of N500 million with a surety in the same amount, according to Anaedoonline.ng.
He stipulated that the surety must be a responsible citizen with landed property worth at least as much as the presidential candidate’s bail.

The judge also ordered Okorocha to submit his international passport with the court’s registry and not to travel outside the court’s jurisdiction without authorization.
He also directed the court registry to notify the Nigeria Immigration Service that Okorocha’s foreign passport was in their possession.
The former governor, on the other hand, was ordered to stay in the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) until his bail terms were satisfied, according to Justice Ekwo.
However, EFCC spokesperson Wilson Uwujaren told Newsmen that the former Imo governor is still in the anti-graft agency’s custody.
He said that the Presidential candidate had not followed the court’s bail requirements and that he would be released once he did.
