Idris Okuneye, also known as Bobrisky, a Nigerian crossdresser, has spoken out against a measure that seeks to outlaw crossdressing in the country.
According to Anaedoonline.ng, Umar Muda, a member of the House of Representatives, introduced a measure before the parliament on Tuesday, April 4, 2022, aimed at preventing people like Bobrisky and his copycat, James Brown, from cross-dressing.
On Tuesday, the measure was supposed to pass its first reading on the House floor.

Cross-dressers now face a six-month jail sentence if the new law is enacted.
The bill was introduced in response to Bobrisky, a prominent Instagram performer.
Bobrisky was born a man with the name Okuneye Idris Olarenwaju, but he has decided to dress as a woman.
He is popularly known for his presence on the social media apps Snapchat and Instagram.
Reacting to the bill, the cross dresser via the micro- blogging platform, Twitter listed all the things wrong with Nigeria.
According to the male barbie, the Lawmakers should be quick in their decisions since cross-dressing amongst other things is the only major issue of concern the government needs to tackle at this time.
