Donald Trump, a former president of the United States of America, is charged with rape.
According to News report, a writer and former Elle magazine advice columnist named E. Jean Carroll has accused the struggling Republican of the serious offense.
Carrol said that Trump raped her over 30 years ago during a civil trial yesterday to establish whether the former American president assaulted her and then lied about it.
“I’m here because Donald Trump raped me, and when I wrote about it, he lied and said it didn’t happen,” Carroll told jurors in federal court in Manhattan.

She claimed that when she first brought up the subject, Trump rejected her accusations and tarnished her name; as a result, she is now in court to try to reclaim her life.
The 79-year-old woman’s lawsuit centers on an alleged encounter in a dressing room at a Bergdorf Goodman department shop in late 1995 or early 1996, during which she claims Trump sexually assaulted her before she could run away.
Carroll claims that Trump defamed her by claiming that her allegation of being raped was a fake, a falsehood, and a “complete con job” on his Truth Social social media site. He also said that she was not his type and had made up the incident to sell her memoir.
She is also suing under the Adult Survivors Act of New York, which permits adults to pursue legal action against alleged abusers decades after statutes of limitations have passed.
Rape Accusation Against Trump Heads To Civil Trial
According to The Independent, Trump did not show up for the trial, which got underway on Tuesday, April 26, 2023, and is not obligated to.
Thursday’s Republican campaign event is allegedly slated for New Hampshire, and both parties have said it’s doubtful Trump will testify.
Trump maintained his scorn nonetheless for Carroll’s case on Truth Social on Wednesday, calling her lawyer a “political operative” and the rape claim “a made up SCAM,” adding: “This is a fraudulent & false story–Witch Hunt!”
U.S. District Judge Lewis Kaplan warned that Trump could face more legal problems if he kept discussing the case.
Explaining her case, Carroll told the jurors that she had met Trump years before the alleged rape, saying she found him to be “very personable” and a “man about town.”

She recalled that she was leaving the store at Bergdorf when Trump recognized her and held up his hand.
Her words reads: “He said, ‘Hey, you are that advice lady,’” Carroll recalled. “I said, ‘Hey, you are that real estate tycoon.’”
As he looked for intimate apparel for another woman, Carroll claimed that Trump chattered in a “joshing” manner.
She claimed that when Trump asked her to try on some underwear, she joked that he should do the same.
Carol remarked Then, after luring her into an unlocked dressing room, Trump pushed her up against a wall, closed the door, and undid her tights. As she talked about shoving him back, she choked up and struggled to hold back tears.
“Trump’s fingers went into my v*gina, which was extremely painful, extremely painful. And he also inserted his p*nis,” she said.

“As I’m sitting here today I can still feel it,” she said. “It left me unable to ever have a romantic life again.”
Asked by her lawyer if she told Trump “no,” Carroll said “I may have said it” but did not know.
She added that she felt guilty and worried that if she reported Trump, she would lose her job and face retaliation.
