Trump promised to block the implementation of a digital currency issued by a central bank, claiming that doing so would give the federal government unheard-of power over people’s personal assets.

He emphasised that such a system posed a threat to freedom and declared his determination to block its implementation in the United States.

Trump articulated “Tonight, I am also making another promise to protect Americans from government tyranny. As your president, I will never allow the creation of a Central Bank Digital Currency. Such a currency would give the federal government absolute control over your money.

“This would be a dangerous threat to freedom – and I will stop it from coming to America. We are also going to put in place strong protections to stop banks and regulators from trying to DE-BANK you for your political beliefs. That will NEVER happen while I am your president,” Trump Promised.

“Look, he is running, and I have to run.” When questioned about whether he would have run if Trump were not in the race, Biden responded, “I expect so.”

Biden has stated during his 2020 presidential campaign that his decision to run was influenced by Trump’s handling of a number of issues, notably the 2017 Charlottesville, Virginia, white supremacist demonstration.

Former US President Donald Trump has pleaded not guilty to 37 charges stemming from alleged mishandling of sensitive documents.

During Trump’s arraignment Tuesday in a federal courthouse in Miami, his lawyers requested a jury trial.

“We must certainly enter a plea of not guilty,” Trump’s attorney, Todd Blanche, told the judge.

The hearing was completed at the time of filing this report.

Deputy marshals booked the former president and took computerized fingerprints before his arraignment. They did not take a mugshot of Trump because he is easily identified. The booking procedure took approximately 10 minutes.

Walt Nauta, Trump’s adviser and co-defendant, was also detained, fingerprinted, and processed.

Trump is the first former president to testify in court.

The 45th President of the United States has proclaimed his desire to compete in the presidential election in 2024.

He called the trial a witch hunt by the government of Joe Biden.

Jury selection in a lawsuit trial pitting Donald Trump against a popular former American columnist who claims he assaulted her in the 1990s is set to begin on Tuesday.

E. Jean Carroll, 79, claims Trump sexually attacked her in a New York department shop and then defamed her years later after she made the charges public.
Trump, who is dealing with a litany of legal issues that threaten to jeopardise his bid for a second term in office in 2024, denies the charges.

The trial begins just weeks after his historic arraignment on criminal charges stemming from a hush-money payment made to a porn star just before the 2016 election.

Carroll, a former columnist for Elle magazine, says she was raped by Trump in the changing room at the luxury Bergdorf Goodman department store on Fifth Avenue in Manhattan in the mid-1990s.
She said the attack came after Trump asked her for shopping advice.

Carroll first made the allegation in an excerpt from her book published by New York Magazine in 2019.

Trump responded then by saying he never met Carroll, that she was “not my type” and that she was “totally lying.”

Carroll first sued Trump for defamation in 2019 but was unable to include the rape claim because the statute of limitations for the alleged offense had expired.

But a new law took effect in November last year in New York that gives redress to victims of sexual assault decades after attacks may have occurred.

It gave sexual assault victims in the state a one-year window to sue their alleged abusers even when the abuse occurred long ago.

Lawyers for Carroll filed a new suit that accused Trump of battery, “when he forcibly raped and groped” her.

It also included defamation for a post that Trump made on his Truth Social platform where he denied the alleged rape and referred to Carroll as a “complete con job.”

The suit seeks unspecified compensatory and punitive damages for psychological harm, pain and suffering, loss of dignity, and damage to her reputation.

Trump is not expected to testify as Carroll’s lawyers have said they do not intend to call him to the witness stand.

The trial is likely to last between one to two weeks.

Trump became the first sitting or former president to have ever been charged with a crime when he was arrested in the hush-money case earlier this month.

He is also being investigated over his efforts to overturn his 2020 election loss in the southern state of Georgia, his alleged mishandling of classified documents taken from the White House, and his involvement in the storming of the US Capitol on January 6, 2021.

The presiding judge, Justice Juan Merchan, set the judgment date for January 13 in state court in New York.

Trump Corporation and Trump Payroll Corporation are the two convicted corporations of the Trump Organization.

Mr Trump personally signed the bonus checks each year, paid for Allen Weisselberg’s grandchildren’s private school tuition, approved the lease for his luxurious Manhattan house, and allowed a salary deduction for another employee, according to testimony heard during the four-week trial.

Mr. Weisselberg, 75, a former chief financial officer, testified as part of a plea agreement that asked for a five-month prison sentence.

Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, who handled the prosecution, called the verdict “very just.”

If proven guilty of all accusations, including scheming to defraud tax authorities, falsifying business records, and more, the company may face a $1.6 million penalties.

The conviction may make it more difficult for the Trump Organization to conduct business, even if the fine is unlikely to be large for a company of its size.

Boulos was raised in Lagos and he is of Lebanese and French descent. He was said to have moved to Nigeria at a young age – where his family’s business is based; he studied at the American International School of Lagos.

Donald Trump Hints On Running For President In 2024

Former US President Donald Trump is considering running for president again in the weeks following Tuesday’s midterm elections.

According to three Trump aides and a Republican Party operative acquainted with the former president’s thinking, the former president has been calling his donor base to alert supporters of his thoughts and solicit comments, according to CBS News.

The exact timing and type of such announcement are unknown.

According to a source close to Trump, it may happen within two weeks of the November 8 elections.

Another expert predicted that it would happen after Thanksgiving, possibly not until early 2023.

In recent weeks, Trump has been inching closer and closer to saying he is running, relishing the applause as he hints to his rally crowds that he’s doing it.

At his Thursday rally in Sioux City, Iowa, Trump said: “In order to make our country successful and safe and glorious, I will very, very, very probably do it again … Get ready that’s all I’m telling you — very soon. Get ready.”
