Victor Nosa Omoregie, the Labour Party’s candidate for Ovia North East Constituency in the recently ended State House of Assembly election, withdrew from the party after an unsuccessful run.
In a message to journalists on Monday, Omoregie stated his resignation was due to Labour Party members viewing him as a snitch for the Peoples Democratic Party.
He stated that he left LP because he believed he was never appreciated.

According to him, LP officials believed he was not working in the party’s best interests in the state.
He claimed that the LP leadership did everything they could to discredit him, including generating misunderstanding about his candidacy.
He stressed that the party in Edo does not represent the will of the people.
“I contested the election under the ticket of the Labour Party but was never genuinely accepted into the party as I was regarded as a mole and agent working for PDP,” he said.
