Former Ebonyi State Governor Dave Umahi and Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) Festus Keyamo have been appointed as the new Ministers of Aviation and Aerospace Development and Works, respectively.
In addition, Betty Edu, the former APC Women’s Leader, was sworn in as the ministry’s minister of humanitarian affairs.
At an installation ceremony held in the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa in Abuja, Keyamo, Umahi, and Edu were sworn in.
President Bola Tinubu witnessed Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Olukayode Ariwoola, administer the oath of office.

The State House Conference Centre in Abuja is now hosting the installation of the 45 confirmed ministers-designates.
According to their respective states of origin, the ministers-designate were sworn in.
The ceremony takes place less than a week after President Bola Tinubu announced the portfolios for the nominees for ministerial positions, which included Festus Keyamo as Minister of Aviation and Nyesom Wike as Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Wale Edun, who oversees finances and the economy, Adegboyega Oyetola, who oversees transportation, David Umahi, who oversees construction, Festus Keyamo, who oversees aviation and aerospace development, and Betta Edu, who oversees humanitarian aid and poverty alleviation, are some of the additional ministers.
