In an effort to win over voters ahead of the elections in February 2023, Bola Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, wanted 95% of the votes from people of Ekiti State on Sunday.
According to Anaedoonline.ng, the former governor of Lagos State was present today as a special guest during Abiodun Oyebanji’s inauguration as state governor.
When giving a speech at the event, Tinubu asked the attendees to support him in the upcoming election rather than the candidates for the Labour Party and the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar and Bola Tinubu.

When asked if his administration would look after for the state’s residents, Tinubu promised them a better day.
The APC chieftain charged the crowd gathered at the swearing-in to turn a blind eye to both Atiku and Obi as people they did not know.
“Another election is coming in February. They are coming. One will call himself Atiku, another will call himself Peter Obi. You don’t know them. The only person you know is Bola Ahmed Tinubu and you must deliver to me 95 per cent of the votes,” Daily Post quoted the APC candidate as saying.
“Don’t be far away, the people that will give you a promise and keep the promise are here. We will take care of you and your children. We will give you a great future. We promise you a better Nigeria. Maybe God Almighty continue to bless us all,” Tinubu added.
