Ifeanyi Ubah, a senator for Anambra South Senatorial District in the National Assembly, was attacked by unidentified gunmen.
According to Anaedoonline.ng, Ubah was attacked on Sunday in Anambra State along the Enugwu-Ukwu route.
According to reports, heavily armed assailants ambushed the lawmaker’s convoy and started shooting at his vehicles.
The senator’s vehicle was filled with gunfire, yet he was able to avoid being killed.

According to the reports, some of his assistants—including some police officers—were slain in the assault.
In a separate report, Fulani leaders operating under the aegis of the Fulani Development Association of Nigeria (FDAN) have announced preparations to meet with Atiku Abubakar, the PDP’s presidential candidate, and Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the APC’s presidential candidate.
On Saturday in Abuja, the group announced that they would meet with Atiku and Tinubu to discuss matters pertaining to the 2023 elections. They also inaugurated their newly elected officers.
The Fulani group declared that after meeting with the two candidates, they will select who to support in the general election of 2023.
