Members of the Ezeobuo family, Okpuno Nnewiichi, Nnewi, Anambra State are excited to announce the Ezeobuo Mass Return / Get Together, a momentous event scheduled for January 2nd, 2024 at the Obi Nnewichi Palace, Nnewi, Anambra State.
This joyous occasion aims to reunite the sons and daughters of the Ezeobuo family, whether they reside within Nigeria or in the diaspora, with the intention of fostering goodwill within the family.
His Highness, Obi George Onyekaba (Obidiugwu), the Obi of Nnewichi Community, made this exciting revelation during a press conference held at Babymate Factory, Nnewi on September 29th, 2023, in the presence of members of Ezeobuo Development Union, Nnewi.

As Obi George Onyekaba eloquently puts it, “when we get together, we can know ourselves, discuss our problems, and proffer solutions we can rely on.”
This gathering will not only bring the Ezeobuo family together but also empower its members. The event will facilitate the creation of strategic business partnerships, provide recurring scholarships to students, and make funds available to support widows and orphans within the family.
Prof. Obi Nwosu emphasized the establishment of an empowerment fund specifically for widows and orphans, stating, “It’s a moment of assessment for us to map out the way forward towards value creation in the community.”
Mr. Humphrey Ngonadi highlighted the expansive nature of the Ezeobuo family, spanning Okpuno Nnewiichi, Mbanagu, and Mkpoka, making this reunion a significant event for rekindling familial bonds and celebrating the family’s development.
Addressing security concerns in the South-East region, Ezeobuo stakeholders assured all attendees of their safety, assuring them that adequate security measures have been put in place to ensure a peaceful atmosphere.
The Bishop of the Anglican Diocese of Nnewi, Rt Rev Ndubuisi Obi, encouraged all Ezeobuo family members to participate in this event, emphasizing the importance of celebrating people and introducing scholarship schemes to benefit all.
Regarding security, he reassured, “Nnewi town has been quite secure, with CCTV cameras on major streets and vigilant patrols. As a bishop in Nnewi Diocese, we have been greatly involved in security, and Nnewi is currently very secure.”
The event marks the first Mass return of the Ezeobuo family since the civil war, and the organizers are enthusiastic about the opportunity to reconnect and move the family forward.
Prof. Chidi Oranusi expressed hope for the event’s success, saying, “This is the first of its kind and it’s set to bring every member of the Ezeobuo family together; we hope that it will be a success.”

Lady Anwuli Agbasi (Ada Ezeobuo) anticipates a heartwarming reunion for the sisterhood of Ezeobuo and emphasized the necessity of such an event after a long hiatus.
Hon. Benneth Ngonadi emphasized the Ezeobuo family’s outstanding personalities across diverse sectors, underscoring the significance of this gathering. The P.G. of Ezeobuo Development Union, Chief Osita Nwosu, thanked everyone for their valuable time and prayed for the event’s success.
This special program scheduled for January 2nd, 2024, by the Ezeobuo family will not only boost unity but also have a positive impact on the people of Nnewiichi, Nnewi and the broader community.
