In a tragic and disturbing incident, a father has been arrested in connection with the death of his 12-year-old daughter, Favour Williams. The young girl, a student of Junior Secondary School in Akwanga, Nasarawa State, reportedly died under mysterious circumstances on her father’s farm.
According to sources, Favour was discovered dead on her father’s farm in Kurmin Tagwaye II, along Wamba road, last week Monday. The circumstances surrounding her death are shrouded in mystery, as she allegedly hanged herself on the farm.
The incident took a darker turn when it was revealed that Favour’s father, Mr. Williams Ma’aji, was accused of defiling her, and this information had somehow come to light. Thomas Vincent, the youth leader of Kurmin Tagwaye, confirmed the incident and shared some details.
He stated that Favour had been working on the farm with her mother. Her father reported that he had exchanged greetings with her as she went to another part of the farm, saying she wanted to eat groundnuts. However, upon returning from the farm, he was shocked to discover that Favour had hanged herself. He immediately tried to rescue her, but sadly, it was too late.
