The Commissioner of Police for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Bennett Igweh, has initiated an investigation into the mysterious death of an unidentified man discovered dressed in women’s clothing. The incident, which took place along the Katampe-Mabushi expressway, was reported on Thursday.
According to a statement by the FCT police spokesperson, Josephine Adeh, the command received a distress call early Wednesday morning about a woman’s body found along the expressway. Detectives were immediately dispatched to the scene, where they discovered that the deceased was actually a man, fully dressed in female attire, with no identification on him.
Adeh reported that the man was quickly transported to Maitama District Hospital, where doctors confirmed his death. She further stated that Commissioner Igweh has ordered a thorough and discreet investigation to determine the circumstances leading to the man’s death.
“The Commissioner of Police, FCT, CP Bennett Igweh, has promptly ordered a thorough and discreet investigation to unravel the circumstances surrounding his death. Updates on this matter will be communicated in due course,” Adeh added.
