A 55-year-old woman, identified as Ifeoma, collapsed and passed away while sharing a testimony at the Ministry Church in the Ejigbo area of Lagos State. The unfortunate event occurred during the church’s Sunday service on the morning of September 8, 2024, around 8:48 am.
According to reports, Ifeoma had stepped forward to the altar, singing songs of gratitude and preparing to give her testimony when she suddenly collapsed in front of the congregation. Despite the quick response from church members, who rushed her to a nearby hospital, she was later referred to the General Hospital in Isolo, where she was sadly pronounced dead.

The Lagos State Police Command’s spokesperson, Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the incident on Wednesday. He explained that the church’s zonal accountant reported the event to the police shortly after it happened. Upon investigation, detectives learned that Ifeoma’s family had already taken her body to Anambra State, where she originated from, for burial.
