IPOB Slams Gbajabiamila For Comparing Them To Boko Haram Terrorists
The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has lambasted the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, for comparing the group to terrorists organisation.
Recall that Gbajabiamila had in a welcome address to lawmakers allegedly compared IPOB and Yoruba nation agitators to Boko Haram terrorists.
But in a swift statement by his spokesman, Lanre Lasisi, the Speaker denied comparing agitators to terrorists, adding that no name was mentioned in his address.
Gbajabiamila: I Never Compared IPOB Members, Yoruba Nation Agitators To Boko Haram
However, IPOB accused the speaker of being clueless, stressing that Nigerians should not take him seriously.
In a statement on Thursday through its spokesperson, Emma Powerful, the pro-Biafra group said the speaker’s statement was stupidity and idiocy taken too far.
The statement read: “The attention of the global movement of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) ably led by our great leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has been drawn to the fallacious and careless statement by the clueless politician of our time, Gbajabiamila, Speaker of the House of Representatives.
“He displayed ignorance and servitude by comparing non-violent IPOB movement with the murderous Boko Haram terrorists, Fulani bandits, and the killer herdsmen wreaking havoc across Nigeria.
“We know he made such reckless and irresponsible remark in his quest to impress his political slave masters so as to retain his position. But it was stupidity and idiocy taken too far. Alhaji Gbajabiamila should not forget that his Yoruba kinsmen are also agitating for freedom today because of the evil agenda of his Fulani slave masters.
MASSOB Blasts Gbajabiamila For Comparing Agitators To Terrorists
“He should not forget that they will surely come for him after using him to castigate and destroy his Southern brethren. What stupid blindness all in the name of political correctness.
“The recent statement from Gbajabiamila shows his ignorance about IPOB and he doesn’t understand that IPOB is present in almost all the countries of the world. Do terrorists openly parade themselves as IPOB does or do they hide their faces?
“We are however not surprised at such position by a man who shamelessly converted from Christianity to Islam because of political position. When they dangled the House of Representatives speakership for him, he quickly renounced his faith and like the dog he is, he fell on his fours to lick the vomit from his Fulani handlers. This is the man who wants to educate us on who terrorists are.
“He should be ashamed of himself. He is after his stomach and ready to sacrifice anything for his political position. A man who betrayed his faith and religion because of politics can never be trusted for anything. Even Satan cannot so cheaply renounce his faith!.
IPOB Slams Sheikh Gummi For Comparing Them With Boko Haram
“Gbajabiamila and his crew of Fulani terrorists cannot change our strategy nor deter us from achieving Biafra freedom from Nigeria. Gbajabiamila or whatever you call yourself stay away from IPOB or sorry will definitely be your new name. Every fool will wake up and mouth the hallowed name of IPOB to raise their dimming political profile.”

Gbajabiamila: I Never Compared IPOB Members, Yoruba Nation Agitators To Boko Haram
The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, has denied comparing IPOB members and Yoruba nation agitators to Boko Haram terrorists.
The speaker had in his welcome address stated that the criminals masquerading as agitators for secession are bent on destroying the country and they do not mean well for Nigerians.
While stating that such criminals are no different from Boko Haram, Gbajabiamila added that the government will not allow them to take the country down the path of destruction.
IPOB, Yoruba Nation Agitators Same As ISWAP, Boko Haram Terrorists – Gbajabiamila
In a statement the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the Speaker, Lanre Lasisi, Gbajabiamila pointed out that no name was mentioned in his address.
The statement said: “In view of the impression created by the said reports, it has become necessary to clarify that the Speaker, in his speech, never mentioned any group.
“For the records, the Speaker said some miscreants and criminals are taking advantage of the separationist agitations to carry their activities.”
“There was nowhere that the Speaker mentioned the name of any group. What was conspicuous in the Speaker’s speech was the focus of the activities of MISCREANTS AND CRIMINALS, and its effect on the country.
“The Speaker never condemned secessionists or compared them to terrorists.

“As a matter of fact, the Speaker is not alone on the concern about an apparent emergence of a band of miscreants and criminals as different patriotic Nigerians have expressed similar concerns and even condemned the act of maiming, killing, destruction of property and other criminalities perpetrated by the masqueraders

LATEST: Senate Reveals Why It Can’t Gag Media
“I will not be part of any bill that will seek to gag the press, no bill will come to the floor of the house that seeks to gag the press because the press is supposed to be the voice of the people.
“However, there is press freedom and there is freedom of expression; Nigerians need to listen to one another and understand each other so that we can make progress as a nation.
“There is nowhere in the world where freedom of expression is absolute, freedom of expression is limited to the extent that it does not affect another person’s freedom.
“That is made abundantly clear in the Constitution itself. If you go to section 45, it states the freedom of expression you have is limited for the sake of security, it is written in black and white.”

The government says Twitter poses a threat to national security. What is the information available to them that we are not privy to?
