On Tuesday, the United Nations Development Programme commemorated the 2022 International Day of the Girl Child.
As designated by the United Nations General Assembly in 2011, the International Day of the Girl Child honours the power of girls while also highlighting the hurdles they confront.
“Our Time Is Now – Our Rights, Our Future” is the theme for the 2022 commemoration.
On social media, the UNDP posted a video with the tagline, “All girls have the right to a safe, educated, and healthy life.”
