According to reports, Herbert Wigwe, the founder of Wigwe University and co-founder of Access Bank, perished in a helicopter crash in California, USA.
In addition, Wigwe served as the CEO of Access Holdings, the organisation that owned Access Bank.
According to reports, he was travelling in the helicopter with his wife, kid, and three other people.
When the helicopter crashed on Friday night close to a border community between Nevada and California, rumours circulated that it was in route to Las Vegas.

The Eurocopter EC130 helicopter fell near Nipton, California, an unincorporated village located about 60 miles south of Las Vegas in eastern San Bernardino County, according to the US Federal Aviation Administration. The crash occurred at roughly 10:00 p.m. local time.
The downed aircraft was reported to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department around 10:12 p.m. local time, according to Mara Rodriguez, a public information officer for the agency.
