Anambra State Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Hon. Dr. Obinna Ngonadi has saluted the Executive Governor of Anambra State, His Excellency, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo for finding him worthy to serve as Commissioner in the state.
Dr. Obinna who was sworn in yesterday Saturday, 9th April 2022 as Commissioner for Commerce & Industry, noted that Prof Chukwuma Charles Soludo is man known for his resolute nature, work ethics, courageous, and visionary policy implementation, and attention to detail.

According to him, the enormity of the task ahead is not lost on him and the audacious ideas and innovations that Mr. Governor brings to the table with his plans to build smart cities and contemporary ideas across the state, is one that he is eager to kickstart, as he brings in new innovative ideas to move the state to its next level.
He noted that the goodwill messages he has received from Anambrians since his appointment over the past few weeks have been overwhelming, soliciting their support and prayers for strength and wisdom to actualize the vision of this administration.
Revealing how he got the appointment, he wrote; “As a staunch believer in the capacity and ability of Prof. Soludo to take our dear state to the next level and beyond, I gave my full support to him during the election”
“I indicated my interest to work for the state government by filling out the Online Expression of Interest. I was interviewed and was given an opportunity to interact and brainstorm on Mr. Governor’s ideas, manifesto and provided responses and solutions to the challenges facing industrialists, investors, and traders in Anambra”

“As a seasoned trader and industrialist myself and with an academic background in accounting, business administration, and electronic business, it is a terrain I am passionate and excited about. There was a mutual understanding of the vision of this administration and the zeal to drive innovative changes that would disrupt the current business environment, entrepreneurship, Igbo apprenticeship (igba-boy), and investment repositioning of the entire ecosystem”
“When I was nominated last week as Commissioner for Commerce & Industry, it was for me an exciting appointment and an opportunity to serve my people and help build a business environment and develop a state of our dreams. The attachment of portfolios to Commissioner designates by Mr. Governor is quite commendable because it gave me ample time to do a proper research on how we will can effectively and efficiently create value in the ministry in the next couple of months”
On his plans in the next few months, he noted that he plans to reposition markets in the state, Improve its infrastructures, reassess it safety measures and capacity, revolutionize and optimize revenue collection and IGR for the state, digitalize segments of its processes to plug holes that have been a huge drain to the system.
Continuing, he noted that he will create a harmonious working environment with leadership across markets and a more effective engagement mechanism, attract real investments to productive sectors of the state to help drive industrialization and wealth creation, articulate and facilitate Mr. Governor’s vision for a more vibrant and compliant trade apprenticeship scheme.

Calling for support he wrote; “I call on all illustrious sons of the land and Ndigbo across the nation and globe; as we recreate a new Anambra and set the pace for a more illustrious and prosperous South East, to bring home their investments, as we continue to pursue the “Akuluouno” philosophy with doggedness and grit”
“This ministry will be very active on social media and other media channels as our collective goal is to keep our people and the world informed on our plans, policies, level of execution, challenges, and achievements and in doing this we will keep engaging ourselves with new ideas and solutions”
“I will be readily accessible, open to your ideas, advice and willing to work closely with market and business leaders, including the organized private sector, to ensure that our vision for the sector is achieved”
He however thanked Dr. Cletus Ibeto for this fatherly support and mentorship, and Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo, for the confidence and trust he reposed on him.
