Out of the 17,000 governmental servants that were initially delisted from the Integrated Payroll and Personnel Information System (IPPIS), 4,081 have been returned by the federal government.
Following complaints of specific federal servants’ paychecks being withheld across Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAS), Anaedoonline.ng learned that the civil servants have now been re-enrolled into the Federal Government’s payroll.
The Association of Senior Civil Servants of Nigeria (ASCN) and the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation intervened, according to the Punch, and 17,000 civil servants who had been recently delisted from the IPPIS were verified. This led to the workers’ return.
Senate Probes IPPIS Over Fraud
It was reported that 17,000 government workers had been delisted from the IPPIS as a result of their noncompliance with verification procedures that lasted more than five years.
The State House, the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, the Ministry of Budget and National Planning, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Defence, the Public Service Commission, the Office of the Auditor General of the Federation, and the Office of the Accountant General of the Federation were among the civil servants cleared, according to the list that was obtained.
Additional representatives came from the Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs, Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Petroleum Resources, Ministry of Youths, Ministry of Women Affairs, Ministry of Trade and Investment, Ministry of Police Affairs, and Ministry of Trade and Investment, Ministry of Mines and Steel Development.
Others were the Ministry of Lands, Housing and Urban Development, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Environment, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Ministry of Aviation, Ministry of Education, Federal Civil Service Commission and Budget Office of the Federation.
