Iran officials have stated the country has no intention for rapid retribution against Israel.
A senior Iranian official confirmed to Reuters on Friday, following reports from sources that Israel had attacked Iranian territory.
Iran has persisted in denying the attack, which was carried out early on Friday morning and targeted its Isfahan nuclear facility.

Reports state that the attack was timed to prevent damage and additional Iranian action, and it was likewise directed towards a military location.
“The foreign source of the incident has not been confirmed,” a senior official said, according to the Guardian UK.
“We have not received any external attack, and the discussion leans more towards infiltration than attack,” the Iranian official said on condition of anonymity.
Iranian analysts reportedly told state TV on Friday, as reported by Reuters, that “infiltrators from inside Iran” were responsible for the tiny drones that were shot down by Isfahan’s air defences.
